Today is my dad’s birthday and he would’ve been 65 years old. He probably would’ve had senior discounts and would’ve been planning for retirement. Also, it’s Yom Kippur, so Chag Sameach to anyone who celebrates that holiday.
Anyway, Landy and I first went to Winchester Floral to buy flowers for Dad’s grave. I bought some fresh flowers with a vase where I could stick a stake into the ground to hold it in place as you can see from my cover image.
Then we went to Shenandoah Memorial Park. For some reason, next to Mom’s and Dad’s graves, there was some plywood and some police tape over some other people’s graves. However, it didn’t seem to mess up Mom’s and Dad’s graves too much, and I was able to place flowers in the vase next to Dad’s grave as well as rearrange the fake flowers near Mom’s grave.
Afterwards, we went home and I ordered steak sandwiches, pizza and tiramisu from Roma On the Go. And that was our day.
