On October 16, 2024, Marie posted the following update to Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:

Hi everyone! I’m one of the mutual aid organizers working with Fares, and I just wanted to give a big thank you to the 1,000+ supporters and friends from around the world who believe in a free Palestine and have backed this campaign on behalf of Fares’ family.

I know times are tough, and it’s not always easy to give, whether big or small. So, I’m curious—have you been attending anti-genocide events to show support?

I’ve been to quite a few, and while I can’t always contribute financially, I’ve set up a recurring donation of $25 each month. I also hand out poppies with Fares’ QR codes at events (with the host’s permission, of course), and I’ve even included other families in this effort.

I’ve also been printing flyers with the GoFundMe QR code and posting them on signs—though I’m mindful of the risks of doing so without properly securing them to poles.

If you can’t give financially, there are still ways to help! You could share Fares’ QR code by handing out flyers, putting them up in your community, or sharing it on social media. Anything helps, and your support means the world. Thank you!

Britt Marie

As of this post, this campaign is 67% towards its goal. So if you want to help Fares and his family, feel free to donate and/or share.
