Happy November, everyone!
Last month, on October 27, 2024, Marie posted the following update to Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:
Hello, Britt here from Seattle. Next weekend, we’re attending a major protest called NO Votes for Genocide. Find a protest in your area and join us on the streets. I’ll also be sharing this GoFundMe’s QR code to support Fares and his family. Over more than a decade of writing about the realities in Gaza, Fares has built a following of 18,000 on Facebook.
Today on this Sunday, for Americans, here are two urgent calls to action:
1. Vote with your ballot: Choose down-ballot candidates who have supported an arms embargo or called for a ceasefire.
2. Contact your legislators and leave a comment to demand an immediate arms embargo by leaving a comment.- Call the White House at [phone redacted], email Harris (https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/vicepresident/) and/or download “5 Calls” app, which will connect you with your local legislators.
As of this post, this campaign is 69% towards its goal. So if you want to help Fares and his family, then feel free to donate and/or share.
