On December 21, 2024, Fares and Marie posted the following updates to Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:
Fares:
“Merry Christmas from Gaza to all who celebrate”
From a Muslim, from a Gazan, to all the people who celebrate, I wish you a Merry Christmas.
May it be peaceful and joyful, may you spend it with your loved ones, I sincerely wish you all that.
May the spirit of compassion and kindness prevail in your hearts.
To all my Christian friends: Thank you for all you do for us in Gaza, thank you for love and support, for protesting against genocide, for fighting uphill battles, for risking your jobs, social statuses, friendships, relationships meaningful to you while supporting us in Gaza. We see that, we know that. We won’t forget that ever.
Thank you to all Christians and all good people around the world who didn’t forget their fellow Christians, our fellow Gazans, who share same fate as us, Muslims of Gaza.
Yes, Christians in Gaza do exist, they have been living in Gaza peacefully coexisting for centuries, they have never been disrespected, never treated as second class citizens, their church, monastery, priests and nuns never felt unsafe or discriminated. On contrary, we are all Gazans and we do respect each other. But sure, lying western propaganda made our beloved Gaza an absolute horrible place, so many were shocked learning that Gazan Christians actually exist.
Remember killed Gazan Christians, martyrs this Christmas. Remember fellow Christians in Gaza. They won’t be celebrating in peace and safety, unfortunately.
May God be with all good people around the world, may everyone celebrate their holidays in peace and as HUMANS.Gaza

Winter has hit Gaza. Families are facing freezing nights in tents, with little protection against the elements—amid an ongoing genocide.
This article shares what families are experiencing right now:
https://www.rescue.org/article/what-does-winter-gaza-look#:~:text=Winter%20in%20Gaza%20is%20unforgiving,nearly%20impossible%20to%20come%20by.Quick update: GoFundMe recently launched a recurring giving feature which means we’ll try to add a recurring giving option to our donation form. Many of our supporters come from working and lower-income backgrounds, and we know smaller, steady contributions—weekly, monthly, or quarterly—can have long-term impacts.
Thank you for continuing to stand in solidarity.
As of this post, this campaign is 73% towards its goal. So if you want to help Fares and his family, feel free to donate and/or share.
