Hello Team!
Thank you all for continuing to support Muhammad’s family and their journey to freedom.
I am writing to update Muhammad’s status. He is still in Khan Yunis with his family. He shared some photos of their small encampment which I have posted.
Food and water are very scarce but they are holding on. They are so stoic and filled with faith. But times are extraordinarily difficult as we can barely imagine.
The borders are still closed and temperatures continue to climb making survival even more challenging.
As you know the ICC ordered an immediate ceasfire and Israel responded with even more vicious attacks on Rafah and surrounding areas. The terror is unrelenting.
Internet is scarce so communication is limited. But do try to reach out to Muhammad to share your support if you can. Your kind words mean a lot to this family. It’s very meaningful for them to know we are out here fighting for their survival and that they are loved.
Muhammad and I did a financial reassessment in planning for life after relocation and we hope to collect enough funds to accommodate a liveable household. While we are close to goal for evacuation, they all need basic necessities of clothing, shoes, eye glasses, household items and medical care for their injuries. In this regard we decided to raise our goal. We estimate 64k. I am pledging 4k. We have increased the GFM goal to 60k.
So I will personally donate another 4k when they register to relocate and I have committed to renting the family an apartment in Nasr City for however long they will need my help but I can’t provide all the support they will need alone.
Your continued support is so important to their survival and their recovery after such constant trauma. It will take time to heal.
Please continue to post, share, and donate to this family’s survival.
Don’t stop talking about Palestine.
Our grassroots energy and dedication are really the only life line Palestinians have.
Evacuation is still in reach. We will be able to get this family to freedom but we can only do it together.
Please stay in this fight for justice!
Don’t give up on Muhammad. This kid is a warrior and he deserves a chance to dream big and achieve his goals. He deserves freedom and respect and justice as all Palestinians do. As all oppressed people do.
None of us are free until we are all free. And I am so proud and filled with optimism seeing that this young generation will make freedom the reality for all. Thank you.
