As you may already heard, the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp was attacked by the Israeli occupation forces this weekend. Amani, who happened to be at Al-Nuseirat with her family, reached out to me for help, so I shared her direct message to me on Instagram:

It’s very hard to ask for help, especially to ask for money. This is something that humiliates you deeply, makes your heart shrink and fills your eyes with tears.
But I saw no other way but swallow my pride and openly ask for help.

Fares is alive! And we’ve almost reached 50% of our fundraising target! But the situation is becoming increasingly urgent!
After 24 hours of immense worry, we were finally able to talk to Fares and confirm he is alive! Because of what is occurring in Ga Za he and his entire family- including 5 children under 7- had to relocate again, for the fourth or fifth time.
But the situation for Fares and his family has gotten much, much worse. We need to urgently meet our goal so that we are able to evacuate Fares and his entire family out of Ga Za the second the border opens. We never want to have to worry about if our friend is alive again.
Fares is the oldest brother in his family. There are ten members of his family, including his three sisters and their five children, that we need to excavate from Gaza – as well as our beautiful friend Fares. They all deserve a life of peace, happiness and safety.
Why is the fundraising goal so high? Because so many people are trying to escape, it costs approximately $5000USD per person to cross into Egypt. In the mean time, basic necessities such as food, water and medicine and nearly impossible to come across and even more expensive to buy.
Each time donate you help Fares feed him family, and get them one step closer to being able to escape this situation.
