Yesterday, I received the following update from Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:
My family, myself and so many of my fellow Gazans from Khan Younis are displaced again.
These monsters didn’t give us any time. They just ordered us to leave, otherwise they would kill us.
This isn’t our first displacement. I’m living in scaffold tent for months now. Together with my family. Our house has been bombed to the ground and there is nothing but the rubble left. So we are literally homeless. I managed to get us a tent and we are living in scaffolded tent since they destroyed our home.
Life in tent is very hard. I believe most of you saw countless videos and pictures and can imagine our lives. Believe me when I say it’s extremely hard.
My body and mind are destroyed. We are under constant “fight or flight” mode, almost 10 months now. That takes a toll on our bodies and minds. We have our limits, even though we fight so hard to survive. I’m responsible for my family, since I’m the oldest. And I can’t help them. We are literally surviving. Food, water, rest and peace of mind are unattainable luxuries.
Our exodus continues. We are being made refugees in our own land. We are hunted as animals by satanic, demonic creatures called “military”. As if each and every one of us has a target sign drawn on the head. We may die any moment, we never know when they might bomb us from the air or shelling from their tanks.
Nobody is stopping them. Lip service and condemnation doesn’t help us at all. Might as well keep quiet and continue with their lives.
Our only trust is in Allah and His plans. We have nobody but Allah with us.8 August 2024
