Happy Fall, everyone!
Landy and I came back from our second trip to Buffalo about a month ago. Unlike our last trip, we flew direct, so we were able to enjoy our stay the first night we got there. Also, I took more pictures than I did our last trip, so that’s why it’s been taking me so long to post about it.

August 18, 2024
We arrived at Dulles (IAD) at around 12 PM. Since our flight was around 5 PM, we had plenty of time to get through security via TSA PreCheck. Then we had lunch there where we had Philly cheesesteaks and and fizzy citrus 200-mg caffeinated energy drinks at Jersey Mikes.
We eventually boarded the plane and it was raining for a bit, so there were some delays. However, I got to take some pictures from my window seat of the rain outside as well as the rainbow. I even took a picture of the Lufthansa plane, which I would post to eXperts play the next day.
Despite the delays, we ended up in Buffalo (BUF) at around 8 PM, which allowed us time to get to the hotel, have dinner and unpack. We ended up staying up past 10 PM. Overall, it was a good day.
August 19, 2024: Gordon’s Birthday
The next day, I decided to post the picture of the Lufthansa plane on eXperts play, which is a gamification platform for travel agents who want to learn more about Lufthansa.

I also posted a picture of the miniature Statue of Libertys at around 4 AM on Instagram.
For breakfast, I had some scrambled eggs; and we both had French toast, bacon and some fruit. I even took some pictures of our breakfast to send to our older brother, Gordon. Also, I took a picture of the Evans Bank Station from the window of the hotel restaurant.
Later on, we went to Delaware Avenue so I could get some envelopes for some receipts from Walgreens. For some reason, when I ordered them along with the scotch tape and the microfiber cleaning cloth via Door Dash, the Door Dasher wasn’t able to purchase the envelopes for me.
Along the way to and from Walgreens, I decided to take some pictures.
Then we went to Bella Ciao to order us some spaghetti and some Limoncello lemon drops for lunch.
For dinner to celebrate Gordon’s birthday, we went to Mothers to have some steaks and some peanut butter pie.
August 20, 2024
The next day, we spent all day at the hotel, so I didn’t take as many pictures as the previous days. I decided to try to do the laundry there and I found out that it cost $4 USD worth of quarters altogether to wash and dry. It wasn’t until the next day that I went to the front desk to get enough quarters and some laundry detergent to do the laundry.
Also, we swam for a bit. As you can see, I took some pictures of us in the pool area.
August 21, 2024
The next day, we walked through Allen Street to get to one of our favorite restaurants, Teton Kitchen Elmwood. I had sushi and sashimi while Landy had chicken yakisoba.
Of course, I took some pictures to and from that restaurant.
August 22, 2024
The next day, I decided to take a picture of this flyer in the elevator, since Landy likes Spongebob.
Then we rode the train to Canalside.
For lunch, we went to Southern Tier where we had some pretzels. Landy had some soda and I had a margarita. While we were there, I received a text from Gordon mentioning that it was Food Truck Thursday on Niagara Square which was from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. So we ended up going there after that.
When we were at Niagara Square, I got some Oreo ice cream.
Then we went back to the hotel where I took a picture of the Avant building where Bella Ciao was at from my hotel window.
For dinner, we went to Union Pub to meet with Gordon. Gordon suggested that we might go see an afternoon baseball game at the stadium which was nearby someday.
August 23, 2024
This was our final day in Buffalo. For lunch, we went to Middle Eastern Flavors, which was on Delaware Avenue. We had grape leaves, falafel wraps, beef shawarma wraps; and pita with hummus dip.
Later on, Gordon got to see the inside of the Hilton Garden Inn Buffalo Downtown when I invited him to be there for dinner. We each had salmon for dinner at the restaurant.
August 24, 2024
The next day, we flew home from Buffalo. Here are some pictures from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF):
When we arrived at Dulles (IAD), we had Chik-Fil-A. Then we got home close to 3 PM.
