From Christmas to New Year’s, Fares posted the following updates to Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:
January 1, 2025:
“Happy New Year”
Today is first day of the year 2025. 1st January 2025.
So, tell me…what difference does it make?
Has anything really changed?
Last year, 2024. was the bloodiest and most horrible year in the history of my land. The worst…so far. You all have been witnesses of the most documented and live streamed genocide in the history of mankind. It’s the year that took from me everything I loved and cherished…my family members, my friends, my neighbors, my colleagues, my home was bombed to the rubble, I am living in a plastic tent as refugee in my own land in conditions that are below human.
I am happy that the year from hell is over, but what a calendar year change means to me?
Like the genocide would stop suddenly as the date changes? Like my suffering would end?
New Year in Gaza started with massacres. The very first victim of zionazi attacks is a 8 years old girl. And internet is already full of zionazi terrorists posts boasting about killing us more the next year, enjoying posting humiliating photos of our people killed and taken hostages. Their impunity continues and encourages them to go on.
I am not feeling happy and festive, and I can’t celebrate anything.
I know many of my friends worldwide feel the same and couldn’t enjoy and celebrate. Some even organized protests, like in Istanbul and Stockholm. People showed up and have clearly shown what really matters.
To all of you, my dear friends, I do wish you a Happy New Year and wishing you all the best. You have been my support always and I have no right to take the joy away from you. I love you all and appreciate you so much!
Please keep us in Gaza in your prayers as always

Fares (December 29, 2024):
Dear world,
As you are preparing to celebrate New Year, Gaza is still bleeding. While you are preparing for joy and happiness, we pray for our lives and mourn our killed ones. While you are deciding where to go to party, what kind of food to prepare, what to wear, who to celebrate with…same time…
We are praying to stay alive, for our families and loved ones to stay alive, we pray for finding a food and praying humanitarian trucks will be allowed to come in to Gaza, we pray it won’t rain and be cold in our scaffolding improvised tents, we pray for our kidnapped loved ones to be alive and return to us. We pray all pregnant women would be able to deliver their babies safely and they all would survive. We pray to ease pain of orphaned, widowed, and lonely ones whose loved ones are killed.
At the start of the New Year we pray for lasting peace and permanent solution for peaceful and happy life for all peaceful people of Gaza
From Gaza Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy New year 2025
Repeated one more time but let it means: more love, peace and justice, more freedom and less dictators, more richness for less poverty, more harmony and less wars and violence, more attention to human beings than technology, more tolerance respect to our different cultures and less hate and racism and always more love, freedom and dignity.
My friends I love you all
