Yesterday, I received the following update from Evacuate Fares and his family from Gaza:
Many of us have been following our dear friend’s eloquent writings on social media. Recently, I discovered a particularly meaningful post that Fares shared on November 13, 2018. Its beauty and message of forgiveness stand out, even against the harsh realities of our world. No one should have to plead to affirm their humanity or their right to be treated with dignity. Here is his inspiring post and as you see, he says its still relevant today.
I am fares abu libdeh..
Palestinian from gaza…
#I_have_not_completely_changed; I am still the same man I was fifteen years ago and the same young man I am in the Thirties. I am still eager for life, I still strive to achieve all my dreams in my life. I’m awfully greedy..
#I_want_everything_from_life. I want to work much and write good books, to travel, to grab knowledge and enjoy myself. After all these years, I am still involved in the process of self-discovery to get inner and deep satisfaction. Indeed, I don’t know where I’m going to be in three or five years, because I have the feeling that the future is so full of possibilities, for me the future is just a huge brunch of discoveries. No matter what corner of the globe I may find myself. Anyways, I believe all this Earth is my Nation as one country. We share one soul and one land, I start my Thirties with a lot of friend from almost all over the world, different beliefs, different cultures, different languages . We are all born in different ways .Therefore, I absolutely believe that every single human and creature soul has more meaning and value than the whole of history. It’s just changed my entire perspective. as I get older, I start to realize that I don’t really know anything and life is a great travelling journey. #Life_is_unexpected!! ..
we just never know what’s going to happen, it’s difficult to get all which I want and I am not going to live long enough to visit all the places I really want to. I wish I could live another 500 years ….
